Hitachi Vantara Taps Partners to Help Drive New Offerings for Midsized Organizations

By Kimberly King

At Hitachi Vantara, partners are core to the way we innovate, solve new and emerging customer challenges, penetrate new accounts, offer robust customer support, and add skills and offerings.

As we look to intensify our focus around the expansive midmarket segment with our new tailor-made Hitachi VSP E-Series NVMe all-flash storage arrays and partner-delivered Hitachi Virtual Storage-as-a-Service offering (read more in our press release), our partners will be even more critical. They can help to provide scale in identifying new opportunities, expanding our reach, and delivering the solutions that will help address pain points of this important customer segment, including budget restrictions and IT resource limitations.

With this announcement, Hitachi Vantara and our partners can offer additional choice for midsized enterprises, extending to them new enterprise-class alternatives at an attractive price point. We are offering a platform that can deliver increased agility and improved efficiencies as well as proven reliability and data availability as they look to accelerate business transformation. Customers selecting our new offerings can also take advantage of consumption-based pricing and outcome-based services available via EverFlex by Hitachi Vantara, which was announced earlier this year.

Across the globe, our partners are excited. Here is what a few of them had to say (others can be seen in the press release):

“We can now meet customer requirements and sought-after productivity gains without compromise by leveraging Hitachi’s VSP E Series from a single array through to full federated management.”
Lisa Muir, Dicker Data NZ Ltd, Enterprise General Manager

“Our midmarket customers have always desired advanced features available from a true enterprise class storage array but with a simple and easy to use interface. The Hitachi VSP E Series coupled with Hitachi Ops Center bring this vision to reality.”
Behçet Yumrukçallı – Tech Data Turkey, General Manager

“The new Hitachi VSP E590 and E790 storage arrays from Hitachi Vantara offer the performance, availability, and scalability that enterprise customers expect at a price point attractive for midmarket organizations. This is a no-lose scenario for customers in this segment.”
Jeff Henry, ViON Corporation, President

“Our customers rely on us to deliver high-quality solutions that meet their specific requirements, particularly around business-critical applications and workloads. With the addition of the new Hitachi VSP E590 and E790 solutions to its portfolio, Hitachi Vantara offers flexibility and choice to address the unique needs of each customer.”
David Barney, Sirius, Infrastructure Solutions Manager

Enabling Our Partners for Success

Of course, to ensure that our registered partners are equipped to accelerate our penetration of this space with our new offerings, we’ve introduced a midrange storage workflow recommendation tool called Hitachi Guru, rich, stackable incentives, simplified training, sandbox and online labs, enablement resources, and pre-populated marketing campaign assets in our Partner Marketing Hub. Our deal pricing guidance and automated deal approval workflows can exponentially simplify and speed the deal process.

We’re looking to get a fast start now in December and then, in January, we’ll arm our partners with more data and more assets to profitably serve this market segment.

With this midmarket initiative, we’re looking for a win for all parties… our customers, our partners, and Hitachi Vantara. We’ve got a really good feeling about this one.
