At parks across the globe, Disney creates happiness by providing the best in entertainment for people of all ages. New attractions are continually built, and the traditional attractions become more and more sophisticated. Oftentimes, this requires new leaps in technology and a deeper understanding of how the attractions operate.

Michael Tschanz, the Director of Engineering, Technology and Analysis at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, explains, “We work with many different electromechanical systems, industry control manufacturers, and drive manufacturers, resulting in many different data streams that must be analyzed and brought together.”

That’s where Hitachi comes in.

Hitachi Vantara is the official ride and show analytics provider for Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort.

Today marks the first-ever World Princess Week, a weeklong celebration aimed at inspiring a million acts of kindness around the globe.

“I recently stepped out of my comfort zone to gift a bouquet of flowers to a neighbor I haven’t met before. My family is new to the neighborhood, and I’ll admit, building relationships amidst COVID-19 hasn’t been easy! But from the smile on Tally’s face, I’m hopeful this small act of kindness will be the start of a new friendship!”
